Contracts Manager: Immunology: Medical Diagnostics: Birmingham: Competitive salary + Benefits.
One of the world's leading specialised Medical Diagnostic companies, whose focus is to drive innovation and improve patient lives worldwide, is seeking a skilled communicator to support the sales division as Contracts Manager. You will work from the UK Sales department in Birmingham and will be required to further the business goals of the company, by partnering with both managed service providers and customers.
The role will include:
*Driving and owning the tender process including managed service, liaising with Territory Managers and National Sales Manager to finalise offer and ensure submission is completed on time.
*Liaising with internal colleagues such as National Sales Manager (NSM), General Manager, Sales Admin, Territory Managers, Marketing and Technical Service to devise the most compelling tender offer demonstrating the company value to the provider and customer.
*Acting as key contact for all managed service companies.
*Working with Technical Service and Marketing to create a database of tender specification answers to standardise responses and avoid delays and inefficiency
*Ensuring that clear records are kept concerning tenders, contracts and KPI's
*Attending tender meetings, both pre and post award
*Owning quarterly reviews with managed service customers
*Reviewing proposed contracts, paying particular attention to elements that expose the company to risk.
*Communicating with Territory Managers to ensure alignment with customer and business goals
*Attending regional business reviews to engage with Territory Managers and understand context of managed service to UK business
*BSc in relevant life science subject (or equivalent)
*Extensive knowledge of the diagnostics market and selling to the NHS
*Experience of dealing with contracts or contract law experience
*Extensive experience of OJEU tender process
*Excellent negotiating skills
*Skilled communicator, both written and oral
*Excellent attention to detail
*Collaborative approach, able to engage with customers, primary suppliers and members of the internal team
*Procurement or legal qualification
*Knowledge of NHS Pathology managed service contracts area
*Experience of influencing others without authority
*Good presentation skills
