Sales & BD Manager: India : Analytical Chemistry: UK based : Competitive Salary, Incentive + Benefits

In this new role, you will be responsible for driving and supporting business growth in India. The region has been identified as the next major target for further expansion in target markets, Environmental, Food-Flavours and Fragrances, Materials Emissions and Petrochemical.

This will be a highly visible and fast developing role involving close liaison with the senior management team, advising on strategy.

You responsibilities will include:
*The primary point of contact for the company's India distributors.
*Work with Sales & Service Director to support regional distribution network.
*Drive proactive Business Development and key account management initiatives, exploring new market opportunities and raising brand awareness in the relevant legislative bodies, generating business opportunities for long term growth and stability of the businesses in India.
*Assess & appoint high performing Dealers & Distributors; re-energise low performing Dealers.
*Meet and exceed pre-defined targets based on revenue.
*Working closely with Technical Sales Group in responding to distributor sales enquiries/leads, quotation requests, chasing orders, liaising with the factory for lead times/ delivery schedules
*Training and technical information support
*Regular and direct contact with distributors to ensure relationships and necessary support is maintained
*Monitor and maintain CRM system records

As a successful candidate you will thrive in a busy, multi-discipline environment, bring passion to the role and have a desire to go the extra mile for your distributors/customers.

You will require:
*A degree or higher degree, ideally in a scientific and/or business discipline
*Face-to-face experience with customers; a proven track-record of commercial experience and experience of dealing with customers in India would be a real advantage.
*Be fluent in spoken and written English. A second relevant language would be desirable
*Be a confident individual who can command authority
*Be multi-tasking and have experience of working in a fast paced environment
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
*Willing to travel around 40-60% of the time
