Markit Economics report that permanent placements increased for the third month in succession in March (slower than February's high), although temps dropped.

This was combined with an overall increase in demand for staff where vacancies rose at the fastest rate since July 2011.

Candidate availability in the permanent sector decreased in March while the availability of temps increased at the weakest rate since August 2011.

A comparison of salaries from February to March remained broadly unchanged.
