PCR Assay Design Scientist - Biotech - Hants - £40-50k
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative organisation and help support the fight against diseases across the globe, including COVID-19. Based from their site in Hants you will be supporting the team's efforts to develop, optimise and characterise a broad spectrum of immunoassays contributing towards the company's range of rapid diagnostic products,
It is envisaged that to be successful in this role you will be able to evidence:
Proven experience within a similar scientific role in industry
Solid experience of primer and probe design for qPCR
Experience of designing and validating PCR and LAMP assays.
Proficiency with bioinformatics analysis tools
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related scientific field
A Masters (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics or a related field would be highly beneficial, as would previous experience of sequence mapping, PCR assay design, designing of SNP Genotyping assays, tech support or customer facing in industry. .
