Sales Specialist - Product Champion - Life Science/Digital Imaging - Nationwide UK/Golden Triangle - Highly Competitive Salary plus benefits


Scientific solutions provider based on innovative products and services that anticipate the evolving needs and exceed the expectations of professionals from Industrial, Medical and Life Science segments. Working with customers in the pathology, pharma, research, drug discovery and veterinary areas this role is one of a Product Champion where you will work closely with your customers and truly understand their needs and the applications where your product would assist.


Your Responsibilities:


This role is responsible, along with Territory Managers, for the sales and promotion of the digital imaging and analysis product portfolio. The role involves demonstrating imaging equipment, planning and carrying out meetings with technical and procurement managers with a view to growing market share as well as providing after sales support. As well as providing sales you will also work with the sales team across the UK to create, plan and execute a development strategy to promote your portfolio to new customers. This is a field based role covering the whole UK.

*All aspects of managing sales.

*Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers.

*Managing and interpreting customer requirements.

*Co-ordinating sales projects.

*Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.

*Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.

*Attending exhibitions, workshops and educational meetings.

*Work across a wide variety of environments including high end research in academia, pathology, drug discovery, veterinary and pharma.


Your Qualifications:

*Relevant experience in a scientific and /or engineering environment

*A strong commercial acumen

*A high level of technical aptitude.

*A higher-level education in science or engineering would be an advantage - PhD would be advantageous.

*The desire to work hard and succeed in a competitive market

*A full clean UK driving licence is essential.

*Applicants should ideally be located in the Oxford/Cambridge/London triangle but there is flexibility for the right candidate

*Previous working experience with Microscopy/optical imaging is desirable as is laboratory experience.
