Tech Support Engineer


Tech Support Engineer - Ideally located North London - £competitive base + bens

My client is urgently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to work from their North London office. Specialists in HPLC, GC, GCMS, Dissolution Systems and Temperature apparatus this is a growing business offering career growth. Reporting into the Head of Services your role will mainly consist of the following: -

- To provide Service delivery support to customers on analytical laboratory instrumentation
- To manage and coordinate your daily functions in a timely and efficient manner.
- To promote the brand and service capabilities of the my client to all existing and new customers.

I would be interested to hear from candidates who have the following skills:
Software: Chemstation and Empower
Instrument skills: Agilent / Waters/Shimadzu/Perkin Elmer and Clarus amongst other instrumentation providers plus. Dissolution Systems, Tablet Physical testing Systems, Electrochemistry Instrumentation & General Laboratory Equipment

You will be required to perform the following operations:

*reply to enquiries by phone and e-mail
*organise and execute technical training for distributors and Field Service engineers
*Evaluate incoming fault reports and initiate appropriate measures:
oRegistration of incoming requests (setup Tickets)
oSupport customers by remote troubleshooting
oSending of spare parts (assisting administration team)
oAssignment of Field Service Engineers for troubleshoot/repair missions at customer sites
oIf necessary, request support from product specialists
*Ensure that obligations from signed service contracts are fulfilled complied with and that decisions in the event of damages / defects / malfunctions on measures to be taken to remedy the
*Ensure prompt handling of customer complaints
*Inform Service Manager in case of major deviations and for cases which can't be handled by TechSupport in order to assure proper handover to 3rd Level Support/ Product Management
