Field Service Engineer - Scientific Instruments - South East UK - To £40k

Experienced Field Service Engineer required by analytical instrumentation servicing organisation based in Kent.
This role is for an experienced Field Service Engineer with a proven track record in field based service engineering.
You will be installing, maintaining, validating and repairing equipment across the UK, with some travel to the Nordics and Western Europe.
The ideal candidate would live close to a major road network. Customers include major pharmaceutical/petrochemical/food&flavour companies.
Occasional trips abroad are required for this is demanding and interesting role.
It is essential that you are flexible and able to travel and stay away from home three or four nights a month.

The main criteria are good fault finding skills (to board level preferred) with knowledge of scientific instruments, preferably those with some form of optical detection unit.
Ideally with experience in the pharmaceutical industry or hospital pathology laboratories, in particular dissolution testing, HPLC & GC.
Although engineers, without HPLC knowledge but who have serviced instruments used in clinical chemistry departments would also be of interest.
You should be able to demonstrate a professional, polished manner and excellent customer facing skills.

Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications required.
