IT Product Specialist

Delta Consultants is working with an international healthcare business searching for an experience IT Product Specialist. This is a field-based role that offers regular requirement to attend their UK head office where you will join the other IT service team members in delivering remote support. It is expected that would be for the equivalent of one week out of five. Best of both worlds - variety, solo and team working, travel and yet an opportunity to really bond with office team members and be able to develop solid professional relationships.

Your remit will be to support the client's customer base with leading-edge IT solutions including system design, installation, configuration and support. You will look after both hardware and software for specialist diagnostic IT systems. If you have exceptional IT skills and can deliver application and hardware support both on-site and remotely, ensuring the provision of an efficient, high-quality service then we are keen to hear from you.

Travel across the UK and Ireland will be required to carry out routine technical support and hardware installations to a consistently high standard. To be successful in the role and as a minimum you will be able to demonstrate you have:

• Have previously worked in a call/support centre environment giving application IT support
• Led projects in an environment connecting multiple software systems
• Strong customer focus
• Good organisational skills
• Confident presentation skills
• Full, valid driving licence
• Experience troubleshooting IT systems
• Experience providing remote IT support
• Awareness of TCP/IP networking
• Good network troubleshooting experience
• Ability to understand technical and scientific documentation

If you can also showcase some or all of the following that would be highly advantageous:

• Experience with laboratory IT systems
• Knowledge of relevant diagnostic instrumentation
• Hardware deployment experience
• Knowledge of ASTM/HL7 communication protocols
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
• Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V
• Degree or equivalent in a biomedical science-related field
• Desktop or server support experience
